Speaker Pod Fitment Guide & FAQs

Are speakers included?
The X3 6.5-inch and 8-inch pods are sold as unloaded pairs: speakers are not included. The Maverick R listing includes driver-side and passenger-side pods and mounting hardware; contact us to confirm your speaker setup before ordering. The 10-inch X3 subwoofer box listing includes a DS18 subwoofer.
Should I choose 6.5-inch or 8-inch X3 pods?
Choose the pod size that matches the speakers you intend to use. Speaker size alone does not confirm fitment. Check mounting depth, cutout dimensions and clearance for the specific speaker and vehicle setup. Send us the speaker brand and model if you need help.
Do I need spacers?
Deeper speakers may require spacers in X3 pods. Most speakers require spacers with unloaded Maverick R pods. Our 6.5-inch spacer rings are 10mm thick and sold in pairs. Confirm the thickness needed for your setup; a 6.5-inch ring is not an 8-inch spacer.
What about rear windows, cages and seats?
The Maverick R pods are designed with rear-window, lower-cage and full-enclosure setups in mind. Aftermarket combinations vary, so confirm compatibility before purchase. Some aftermarket seats may contact the pods. For X3 configurations, contact us with your cage, harness and seat details.
Can I add the X3 subwoofer box?
The 10-inch X3 box mounts behind the driver’s seat and includes a DS18 subwoofer. Contact us to confirm availability, the included subwoofer model, amplifier requirements and clearance with your seats. Do not assume compatibility with a lowered or aftermarket seat setup without confirmation.
What should I send for a fitment check?
- Vehicle year, model and two-seat or four-seat configuration.
- The Ride Cartel product you are considering.
- Speaker brand, exact model and mounting dimensions, if available.
- Seat, harness, cage, rear-window and enclosure modifications.
